Dr. John Ictech-Cassis, Prosthodontist
Dr. Cassis has been practicing dentistry since 1982 and has been certified in prosthodontics since 1986. He obtained both a DMD and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthodontics from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he has been a faculty member since 1987 in the postdoctoral residency programs. Dr. Cassis is also the Director of the Boston University Dental Health Center at 635 Albany Street. His duties include managing the BU Dental Health Center and overseeing numerous dental providers and dental specialists. Previously, he served as the Director of Advanced Education in General Dentistry for 25 years and for 20 years as director of the Postgraduate Operative and Esthetics program. Dr. Cassis gives dental specialty lectures worldwide; he is dedicated to teaching and supporting the development of general dentists to advance their careers. Dr. Cassis is a fellow of the American College of Dentists as well as the International College of Dentists. In May 2006, Dr. Cassis was awarded the Spencer N. Frankl Award for Excellence in Teaching at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He has years of experience in several dental disciplines including implantology, restorative dentistry, esthetic dentistry, and endodontics.
